I don't fully understand your post.

While I understand wanting to upgrade from the feature limited and slow TP-Link, why upgrade to the MB Pro? I would highly recommend to instead upgrade the Meteobridge on the Raspberry Pi as the user interface is even faster, it can easily have more data storage with the right SD card, and it will cost you much less than a MB Pro, and you'll also gain the embedded Weather34 dashboard that the MB Pro does not have.

Which is why I don't understand you mentioning your new Raspberry Pi 4, but you don't mention what you are doing with it.

Thank you for your response!  My new RBPI 4 is my next project.  I have been reading your posts on a variety of subjects and I may be asking questions as I get it the RBPI4 up and running.  I have recently bought Weather-Display and have it up and running at:

https://csraweather.org

I also have WXSIM and I am in the process of getting it up and running as well.  As I have read many documents from Tom Ensburger on the subject, I realize I have a lot to learn becoming a forecaster.  Ultimately, I am hoping that my RBPI 4, can run my website/weather-display/WXSIM while freeing up my laptop which is running 24/7/365.  I thought that the MB PRO would give more power, maybe not.  I do have weather34 on my site as well,  struggling with the newest MK Aurora update though.  Would a external hard drive be a better fit than a sd card?  I have one currently and will connect to the RBPI 4 using a powered 2.0 usb hub.  Any of your thoughts, suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Again, thank you for possibly saving me a little money!

Seems like your Raspberry Pi is already committed to Weather-Display which is good. The Meteobridge on Raspberry Pi requires a dedicated Raspberry Pi. Therefore if you'd like to experiment you'll need another Raspberry Pi. But once you have a Raspberry Pi it is easy to find use for more of them.

The Meteobridge RPI requires an SLC SD card. It will not run on a hard drive.

My Canakit RBPI4 Extreme comes with a Samsung 128GB Micro SD Card.  Is this enough for running WD and WXSIM on the RBPI4?  Do I need to purchase a 256GB or 512GB SD Card?  Industrial?  Lots of choices.  Thamk You for your assistance!

It needs to be SLC type. Order SDSDQED-016G-XI from Mouser. It is about 2 weeks from being in stock, so order now before it sells out again.

Just a heads up on the Meteobridge Pro.  I made the decision to purchase.  It’s running and also the new weather34 Aurora MKII update has the MBPro device listed.  I am switching everything over to the MBPro and also purchased a second RBPI 4.  I might keep the TPLink for now.  Set it up later with second  RBPi4.  Just received the 16GB card 11JUN21.  Thank you for your responses and support.
