Whats a little odd about the Sharx Security site they really only have 1 contact form with no place to ask questions. No phone number either. Odd way of running camera business.
I read in one review these cameras are not IP66 rated was the main drawback so not water proof even outside units are only resistant and they seem to be out of stock on the cheaper IP cameras even though site says in stock. After adding to cart through paypal out of stock. Also none available on Amazon so wonder if company is folding.
Have you e-mailed them at customerservice@sharxsecurity.com?
I have 10 of their cameras (various models/vintages from SCNC2700 to SCNC3924) and whenever I e-mail them I usually get a response within an hour or two (even early on Sunday mornings). I last contacted them about a month ago about some settings issues and the response was prompt and helpful.
My suspicion is that it's a one man operation (just a guess). But he's very helpful and has always fixed my problems right away.
I also noticed that there aren't any more camera stocked on Amazon. I contacted their e-mail to ask about availability and bought three new model SCNC3924 cameras direct through them using PayPal (at a pretty good price, too). Cameras showed up quickly.
So far, I have no complaints about their cameras or customer service. Their website does suck, however.
