Brand new here, lots of great information but I’m looking for a personal weather station that is easy to connect to PWS.com website.  I have an irrigation sprinkler controller with B-hyve software.  I currently have a selected weather station about 1.5 miles from my home that I selected with the controller that I use to use the Smart Watering feature in B-hyve.  I would like to have my own weather station instead of depending on the one 1.5 miles away as it could be raining there and not be raining at my home which in turn defeats the purpose of Smart Watering feature.  Sorry for the long post but it’s confusing trying to figure out which weather stations I should consider using.  BTW, I did buy a Davis Vantage Vue and Weather Link live in the past 2 weeks but after setting it up found out Davis isn’t compatible with PWS.com to send data too.  Any suggestions, advice and recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Eric

Davis does not do that directly to that site, but there are some options:
Have Davis connect to a third-party program like CumulusMX and it can upload to pwsweather.com and many other weather sites.
Get a WiFiLogger and it can upload to PWSWeather.

My Hydrawise controller accesses Weather Underground data, and Davis can upload to Weather Underground.

Enjoy,
Paul

I have the Davis Weather link live.  How do I connect Davis weather link live to CumulusMX?  I use an IPad and IPhone.  Can I download the CumulusMX software to these devices?  If yes, could you please share the link to CumulusMX?

Thank you
Eric

CumulusMX accesses using the Weatherlink Live device local IP address.

No.  CumulusMX runs on any of PC, Mac, and RPi.

While the answer was No, here is a link to the Cumulus forum. https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/index.php

p.s.
When I mentioned WiFiLogger I should have also mentioned that it needs a console to which it plugs in, like the old-style Davis consoles which are no longer available from Davis, or an Envoy which is available from Davis

You could install CumulusMX on an inexpensive Raspberry Pi.  That way CumulusMX can run on its own regardless of whether your Ipad is running/suitable. More here: https://www.cumuluswiki.org/a/Raspberry_Pi_Image

And if you choose not to move forward with Davis, I am using Ecowitt equipment, CumulusMX on a Raspberry Pi4 and upload to PWS Weather with no problem.

Which Ecowitt weather station are you using?
I prefer separate gateway & sensors (not a 7-in-1 or a 5-in-1 etc). So one of my systems uses a GW3000 gateway with  sensors WS68 (anerometer + solar), WS40 (rain) and WS32 (temperature + humidity). I have another system that is similar but uses a GW2000 in place of the GW3000. And I started with a GW1000 gateway. Those gateways all have different features, but they work with CumulusMX in  a similar fashion. (The GW1000 is obsolete and off the market, but there is a GW1100 available that is similar.)

AFAIK all Ecowitt gateways / consoles are going to work with CumulusMX, including those part of all-in-ones, so choose your Ecowitt hardware based on other considerations. Once you have decided what you plan on getting, let us know what you have in mind and ask for comments.

If you are interested in controlling Ecowitt water valves (sprinkler control), the GW1200 gateway is the lowest number model that can do that.  I don't know for certain, but I think its likely that at least some of the Ecowitt display consoles are not suited for controlling Ecowitt water valves.

If you have not seen this, its a comprehensive Ecowitt Wiki, and worth a look:  https://meshka.eu/Ecowitt/dokuwiki/doku.php
