Davis Instruments Weather Stations / Help with new vp2 please
« Last post by Ahill on Yesterday at 09:15:14 PM »
I just set up the anny with a separate wireless transmitter and the 6313 console. I am setting up the rest of the sensor suite at a later time after some construction around the house is done. I needed to setup the anny on top of the roof prior to everything.
I also have the weatherlink app on my phone.
The anny works properly and the wireless transmitter is sending data to the console just fine on a different channel than what the sensor suite is set up for. The console is also displaying the indoor temp, humidity, and barometric pressure just fine.
Here is the issue:
On the weatherlink app it displays the temp, humidity and pressure as is displayed on the console but the wind is not displaying on the app.
Also when i go into the settings it asks if i want to upgrade from “station tier basic” for $47. I am subscribed to the pro after paying the $47 when i set up the Weatherlink account on my phone. It also shows on my console my subscription is “pro”.
Is the wind not showing on the app have anything to do with the subscription and why is the pro not showing on the app but is in the console.
Am i missing something or setting something wrong?
Thanks

Anyone else have problems with the Davis WeatherLink 6100 not updating data?   It will update once a minute for 3 to 5 hours and then stops updating for several hours.   It must be a hardware problem.  It lasted for more than 4 years though.   I also have the  Davis WeatherLink 6313 console which updates every minute continually without update problems.

More strong storms are expected later tonight with a flood watch as well as tornado watch underway.
You still have the dry line to deal with in the western part of the state.

Maybe you can advise
So I attached both on the mast as pictured only problem when i was done the U shaped mast they are on doesn’t sit perfectly straight up and down parallel with the mast or perfectly level. They are a little tilted to one but both pointed true north and appear to give the same results on the consoles for the most part. Hard to tell as they update at different times.
How level does the anemometer have to be. I know the rain sensors have to be really level. Would it affect any wind readings?

So far, Stillwater has been on the fringes of the worst storms but barely.  This afternoon signs of a tornado were detected on radar south of Stillwater.  But sirens weren't sounded.  However, visible signs of a tornado were spotted on the far north edge of Stillwater.  Then the sirens were sounded then even though the storm had just passed. More strong storms are expected later tonight with a flood watch as well as tornado watch underway.  If the storm rain trains, there's risk of flooding.  Along I-44 is speculated to be a prime area for it, if that happens.  Hopefully, not much sun today is keeping things from getting worse.

Also as CW2274 posted some nasty storms going on today. Doesn't look good.
