Possible west coast US lightning early next week...
« on: January 22, 2015, 11:47:06 AM »
From PG$E meteorologist John Lindsey's forecast for San Luis Obispo this morning:

Quote
A major change in the weather pattern is forecast Monday into Wednesday, as a low-pressure system near Baja moves   northward along the Central Coast. Since the low is moving out of the south, it will contain subtropical moisture and snow levels will remain above 7,000 feet.

This system will produce increasing southerly winds, cooler temperatures and much-needed rain and even a chance for thunderstorms. At this time, rainfall amounts are expected to range between 0.25 and 0.75 of an inch.

Maybe my Blitzer will get a workout...
