Built a shield for ferrites antenna using an old cable pc
« on: February 05, 2014, 04:24:53 PM »
Hi everybody,
i've made a shield for my ferrite antennas using an old cable pc (image nr. 1 - 2)
I've followed page nr. 16 of blitzortung manual here: http://www.weerstation-woerden.nl/download/TOA_Blitzortung.pdf

Unfortunately when i've open my amp to join the new two coppers wire i've seen that there is any place free on my screw :( (image nr. 3).
Where could i put the two coppers wire from my self made shield?
Thanks in advance for any help,

Alessandro

One of the input terminals for each amp channel is at ground potential (see the schematic). Connect your shield to the same grounded terminal as the grounded end of the antenna connection.

Don
