Are all your diodes in correctly on the controller? They'd be under the discovery board.

Only dumb question is the one that's not asked.....

Yes, on the controller board next to the RJ45's

Diodes are in correctly.

I am starting to run out of ideas, but I will think about it some more when I get time.
You might try Egon/Tobi/Richo at the Blitzortung forum and point them here for things already tried.

Thank you Greg for all of your help.

I did post on the Blitzortung Forum and Tobi responded right away that the issue revolves around the ATMEGA8 Chip. I checked the joints and correct direction of installation for the chip, per his suggestion, all OK.

Waiting for the next step.... I wonder if the chip is bad??

I'll let you know how I make out.

Well.... I do not have any idea why or how.... but, it is NOW WORKING!!! \:D/ =D>

Looks like my status is interference. My display shows 10*10 in Automatic Mode.  Do I need to relocate/move my antenna to correct this?

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,

Glad you got it working. I put mine into manual mode to adjust the gains as needed.

That is good news, I wonder too what happened. Sounds like something is intermittent. Atmel socket?
I have used "freeze mist" circuit cooler to hunt down intermittent joints or connections.

If the antenna is close to computers, the controller or other noise sources, it would indeed help to relocate the antenna.
You can drop the gain and raise the threshold in manual mode until the interference condition stops.
If the noise is in one direction/antenna, you can set them individually to keep higher gain, lower threshold on the more quiet channel.

Great idea using freeze mist.... if it acts up again, I will do it.

I placed the antenna's in the garage and that is at least 15 away straight line through a wall and cieling. So I guess I'll have to run back and forth to make adjustments.   What are "good" numbers?

Thanks,
Joe
