Weather Radar Blockage

Just curious about why the Long Island weather radar is blocked to the northwest. It is a very small wedge. Topographical map does not show any obvious obstructions. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

Having spoken with the NWS Upton staff about 15 years ago, the issue is a smokestack near the radar tower that blocks the beam in that direction.  They claimed that the Upton radar tower was the already the tallest in the country, and they can't go any higher to clear the smokestack.....
