Problem with wind gust with gw1000
« on: June 15, 2020, 01:01:00 PM »
Hello, I have a problem with the gust wind and the instantaneous. Leaving the factory setting, the wind gust does not correspond to reality, I have solved this problem by setting the multipliers to 0. The problem is that when I set it to 0, the normal wind goes to 0. I have tried to set the multipliers to 0 to both options and I have no solution. It is only solved by setting both options to 1 but the gusty wind is false. I have checked it with the station and with the gw1000 application.

the version used is Cumulus MX 3.6.7 b3083

a greeting.

I could be wrong about this, but I don't think the issue is the GW1000. I think the issue is how Cumulus interprets the wind data it's getting from the GW1000.

I ran Cumulus for a few days and noticed the wind data was noticeably different than what either the GW1000 or my WS-2000 console reported. In fact what I found so frustrating was that the wind would often report correctly on the 'realtime' Cumulus dials but when I would then go look at the wind graphs, they'd show completely different wind readings.
