My yard looks out about 220 ft. It's the first HD camera I have so picture is clearer.
I am still considering getting one of these. Been hearing and seeing alot of good things about these cameras. Here is one on New Egg for $91. Might replace my DLink with this one and put the DLink looking at my back door. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA50K1V07153
I do know that there are apparently two types floating around for sale. One has Chinese language firmware and one has English language firmware. You have to be careful which one that you get or you will be very disappointed!.
There is an entire forum devoted to IP cameras and they have a sub forum just for Hikvision cameras. There are a lot of folks on there that know about all of the software quirks of that particular camera. I do know that there are apparently two types floating around for sale. One has Chinese language firmware and one has English language firmware. You have to be careful which one that you get or you will be very disappointed! I have one and I have to say it is absolutely remarkable at how well the focal length and resolution is. Just amazing for the price. It is also well built with an all-metal case and good quality waterproof connectors. On my camera I can sit and watch individual raindrops fall to the ground. Just get the right camera and you will not be disappointed and wonder why we have been playing with toys. I am hesitant to name the IP camera forum as I don't know about the rules on this forum. Just Google it and its pretty easy to find.
Mine came in the plain box, yet it turned out to be the English language version. Don't use the little cd that comes with it as its worthless. There are several good YouTube videos describing the setup steps.
You go their website and download a program called SADP and it looks for the camera and you give it your own IP address. Then from that point you can log into the firmware from your browser window and configure it like you want.
Have been contemplating getting a camera for a long time, and this might be a good opportunity to do so. Just as an FYI, I looked through all of their authorized distributors, only 1 listed a price for that camera.DS-2CD2032-I
My web page is pretty basic at the moment. It's there to serve my needs when I am out flying or when I want to check on cows on the runway etc.http://budbrinkley.com/flying_v_ranch.html
