Lost webcam and not associated with reporting station
KAZBISBE3lOldBisbeeCAM1

I have had three webcams for many years. Two of them are working, OldBisbeeCAM2 &CAM3- that associate with my old station KAZBISBE4.
Since the upgrade, my main camera (setup has not changed) is now not allowed to upload FTP to webcam.wunderground.com.  This is what I get when I try to look at here -
http://icons.wunderground.com/webcamramdisk/o/l/OldBisbee/1/current.jpg

I also sent you a PM of my Profile.wunderground.com as per your request.
Thanks for the updates and working to better our weather community!

I have two weather cams associated with my account  KFLWINDE35.  One works as expected but when I added WU_0129533CAM2 it just says off line and never changes.  I use Blue Iris; the settings are the same for both cameras.  The test message sent to the WU server for both cameras comes back saying that Blue Iris and the server are communicating.

I have sent two e-mails to WU for assistance however there has never been a response.  I am trying to figure out what I may be doing wrong; can you help?

Thank You.

The mistake you're making is adding a camera while the site is being "upgraded".  Just be glad your one camera still works given the condition of things at WU during this project.

We are hopefully learning patience here while WU figures things out. We are about a week away from it being a month since they first announced the upgrading. Hopefully soon. One of the few here trying to be optimistic with this.

Remember they were working on alot of other problems before this website update problem even began....remember the Trello board (since  abandoned ) That mainly started  when they updated the forcast page many moons ago. I guess what I'm trying to say is patience. But we shall see.

WU has been mostly broken since the *last* upgrade which was rolled out right when Hurricane Irma was rolling into south Florida in 2017.  For those without a calendar handy that's over 18 months ago.  You'll need the patience of Job to ride this out.

I'm wondering if I can get an answer from WU support regarding the way wind direction graphs are displayed in the new system.

I've attached a pic showing the wind direction graphs generated using the "old" system and the "new" system for the same period today.  The "new" graph is much smoother (as I'd expect from a coastal station, although it's a light wind day).  Looking at the two graphs, they're only roughly the same!

My station reports at 1 min intervals.  Just for completeness, it would be nice to know if the new graph is showing an average of the 5 reports between graphing intervals, where the old graph simply plots the most recently received observation?

No complaints though.  I like the "new" graph, which seems to smooth out the unavoidable wind variations caused by a less than ideal position.

My camera never has shown on new page. Comes up sometimes on old page.

The new graph shows the max wind speed recorded every 5 mins if reporting more than 1x per 5 mins.
The direction is a weighted average based on wind speed and direction

Great on getting rapid fire fired up again and putting up a concise summary at the top of the page.  Great work.

Unfortunately, I still can't add a camera, it won't accept the address from the pop-up list or manually entered.

Can you clarify where the forecast is? Right now, you have to click on Wheaton,IL (in my case) rather than seeing something like “Wheaton, IL—Forecast”

Great work! I would also like to add the following to the ToDo list:
  • Yearly and Custom Mode not available
  • Soil moisture, temp and Leaf wetness

Also it would be nice to have custom mixed units....like Fahrenheit for temperature and hPa for pressure at the same time. Also hopefully your tweaks on dials and graphics includes reducing the wasted space and making the boxes smaller. Don't enlarge the already large graphics.

Hmmm....so this thread is NOT the new mega thread.  WU posted that they don't want to follow a mega thread. They prefer we post individual separate topics for each issue.
https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=36609.0

I think this is a great idea. This will also help the influx of newbies that keep asking the same questions over and over because they don't feel like reading a mega thread. If these newbies had a list of topics they could scan for or search they would find answers easier and it would stop them from asking repetitive questions.

I'm not saying don't post to this thread. ...but lets keep it on topic. This should only be about the finalization of the migration in regards with the pending known issues to be resolved.

A good step even a small leap forward. Bravo.

https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/IONOTTAW14

I will not hash over many specific errors that I have seen reported already unless there is a specific request for more detail. Only a couple tidbits. It is updating fast but beside green dot at top left it always says one minute. The vertical separator for Wind/Gust makes it look like two hundred fifteen.

Keep up the good work.

Your station is updating so fast that WU is having trouble keeping up and showing a proper status. You also are running a very old version of WiFilogger firmware 1.24. You need to go through some steps to do some manual updates and then when you get to version 2.x (meaning 2 dot something...I think 2.0 but don't quote me) then the WiFilogger from that point on will be able to do simpler automatic or semi-automatic updates and get you to 2.15 (current). I'm not a WiFilogger user but that is what I've read from other users. See what happens after you on running current WiFilogger firmware. If it still is a problem you may want to look to see if you can modify the WiFilogger to upload every 10 seconds instead of like every 3 seconds that I think it is doing now.

See this link for reference and better help with this issue

One thing I just noticed as it's raining now, the precipitation rate stays at 0 in/hour until my rain gauge shows over .5 in/hour then it goes up to 1 in/hour. Repeats on the way back down. It would be nice to be a little more granular (.1 in/hour?).
