Barbara formed not too long ago in the East Pacific.
As of 3 AM CST:

Maximum Sustained Winds: 45 mph
Movement: NNW 12 mph
Location: 15.2°N, 102.4°W, 200 mi SW of Acapulco, Mexico.




Current Forecast:
Barbara is expected to become  a Hurricane by Monday Afternoon, due to warm waters, and lower wind shear. The environment remains favorable for further Storm development. Additional Tropical Cyclones may form in the vicinity of this storm as well. The Main threat to land will be extremely high surf and deadly rip currents.

Location: 15.7°N, 103.1°W, 230 mi WSW of Acapulco, Mexico.




Current Forecast:
Barbara has intensified some over the last couple of hours, and will continue to intensify through this week. Hurricane Conditions will be associated with Barbara by Monday Afternoon-evening, with it's peak intensity ranging from 75-85 mph.

Barbara becomes the first hurricane of the 2025 East Pacific Hurricane Season

Maximum Sustained Winds: 75 mph (+5 mph from last update)

Movement: NW 10 mph
Location: 17.6°N, 106.1°W, 155 mi SW of Manzanillo, Mexico.




Current Forecast:
Barbara has intensified into a hurricane, with sustained wind speeds of 75 mph. Barbara will continue moving northwest and gradually weaken overtime, the storm will dissipate by Wednesday Morning according to NHC Forecasts.
