A Weather Display replacement
justinhow:
I use a Davis Vantage Pro2 with USB connection to a PC running Weather Display.
I use weather Display to upload to variuos cloud operators such as MetOffice WOW etc, as well as to my main website which runs on MeteoTemplate.
I am aware that Weather Display seems to have a limited future and does not get updated very much these days as well as being written in an old language.
So what are my best options for replacing Weather Display. MeteoBridge or ?
weatherdoc:
Brian has provided 26 updates to WD since the beginning of 2025 (see my archive page here: https://wxdoc.info/wd-files.php). Not sure why you say WD doesn't get updated very much nor why it has a limited future. I don't know what "old language" WD is written in, but sometimes old things still work (like me!).
justinhow:
I understand you don't agree with my assessment of WD which is of course your prerogative.
Nevertheless I am still looking for a potential replacement to it.
So anyone?

I think Brian uses Delphi, which is still developed and maintained. He got the latest compiler about build 146.
And Cumulus MX seems to be a popular multi-platform alternative to WD.

For various reasons I also attempted to "replace" WD with something shiny and new. Best I could find was CumulusMX4.
Both work as advertised and do a fantastic job of collecting data but WD is still the better product for me.
Good luck in your quest to replace WD.
