Strokes station min participants
« on: July 05, 2014, 01:45:06 PM »
Can someone tell me where to find what this stat ("Strokes station min participants") means on the LightningMaps.org pages? I've searched but can't find anything on it.

My stat for this line is 10 (0.1%)

It means the minimum amount of stations to verify a lightning strike. Currently six stations are required minimum to verify a lightning strike. In your case, 10 strikes that were recorded by the network, you were one of the six participating stations. So without your station the strikes would not have been recorded.

Thanks for the reply - good info!

We need some kind of a Glossary of all of the terms used in the Blitzortung system. If one exists, I haven't been able to find it.

Yes it is. We should probably have a separate thread that is labeled something like "Blitztortung - Glossary" and is made a sticky. Then, whoever starts it could keep it updated by editing (modifying) the first post in the thread and adding new terms as they are developed. That's what I do with my BO Documentation/Step-by-Step links and it has worked out nice.
