'95 Taurus Wagon ...  not sure what would happen with the passenger doors.  Driver's door should open fine.  When you shift into gear, the others doors lock automatically.  I think I can override that though.  I've never tried to open one of the passenger doors from inside while locked.

But these are all reasons why I won't buy anything newer than mid 90s.  I'd rather go back to the 80s or even 70s models.
Good luck with continually finding those, especially American.

In the old days, power windows were controlled by simple switches. Now everything is run via CAN controlled modules...

CAN?  How about a mixer?

Pickups are a different story, especially before the mid 70's or so. And you got enough room in the engine bay for a couple of DB's.
