Lighting Radar long range

Hello all
I have make a lighting radar long range 2000-3000 over the land and more over the see .

It want little better calibration ,but i hope day by day it will be better .

The original consept and design is from Frank Kooiman .

Looking at the radar data, it seems to pick up strikes a long way away. I wonder what it takes to decrease the range, but maintain the sensitivity?
