hello,I sorry, no se ingles, necesito ayuda por favor, os lo agradeceria mucho.necesito conectar mi estacion Ecowitt hp2550 a Weewx para no perder mas datos, pero no lo consigo , he intentado con el driver interceptor pero no veo ningun dato en la pagina ,he de decir que no se nada de linux, tengo instalado en el pc kali linux ultima version y un amigo me configuro y explico un poco,he instalado WeeWx como dice en su pagina y esta bien pues la primera pagina la ha creado en modo simulador , despues instale interceptor y tambien se instalo bien pero no capta ningun dato de la estacion.Os agradeceria si pudierais explicar paso a paso desde el principio como se intala y configura todo para poder verlo ya que llevo una semana liado y nada.Gracias de antemano.

Configure "Customized Server" option in Ecowitt HP2550 to send to the IP address of WeeWx system. Use Weather Underground protocol not Ecowitt protocol for Interceptor driver to work.

hello, gracias por su rapida respuesta.Si esta configurado asi y no detecta nada, cuando dices la ip te refieres a la ip que asigna el router al pc o a la de la estacion?.Tiene que estar la estacion y el pc en la misma red?.Tengo la estacion conectada a un punto wifi de un telefono movil que no utilizo mediante compartir conexion de datos para asi transmitir siempre a internet y no tener un dispositivo siempre encendido conectado a la red electrica.

"Customized Server" IP address refers to the IP address of the WeeWx system. If WeeWx system is not on the same network then you'll need to specify the public IP of the WeeWx system along with having opened the proper firewall port and set up proper NAT port forwarding rules.

Also if not on the same network change "Customized Server" settings to upload to different port than 80. Because port 80 is often blocked by Internet Service Providers (at the WeeWx system network). For example instead use port 8080 as the upload port. This also means that on WeeWx network you will need to do a port redirection or forwarding on the router to send external 8080 traffic to internal port 80 to the private internal IP address of the WeeWx system.

If not on same network:
HP2550 Customized Server sends to remote public IP address on Port 8080 - -> destination remote router of WeeWx network port 8080 forwarded to internal port 80 of private IP of WeeWx system - -> WeeWx system running Interceptor driver

Gracias de nuevo , eso es demasiada informacion para mi.Primero como averiguo la ip del sistema WeeWx,supongamos que estan en la mixma red el pc donde esta instalado el weewx y donde esta conectada la estacion que es el telefono con punto de acceso wifi,que deberia hacer en este caso?y en caso que no este en la misma red como redimensiono los puestos para que funcione.No se mucho de redes y aun menos de linux,lo siento mucho pero necesito conectarlo para tener los datos internamente guardados en la pc.Gracias de antemano.

Debe conocer la dirección IP de la computadora que ejecuta WeeWX, en este caso, su computadora con Kali Linux. Ponga esa dirección IP en la opción "Servidor personalizado" en Ecowitt HP2550 Configure WeeWX para usar el protocolo "Weather Underground" en lugar del protocolo "Ecowitt".

If you are on the same network then it is much simpler. Because then there is no need to open firewall ports and no need to do port redirection and forwarding.

If you are on the same network you can easily find out the WeeWx system local IP address by opening a command window and typing: ifconfig

You will see results that start with "inet" followed by the IP address. Most likely 192.168.x.x, or 10.x.x.x but do not use the one that says inet 127.0.0.1.

Gracias, ahora mismo tengo la estacion y el pc conectado a un punto wifi que genera un telefono en zona wifi portatil, osea compartil conexion mediante mi tarifa de datos en modo wifi, asi siempre la tengo conectada a internet la estacion sin tener ningun dispositivo conentado a la red electrica.Asique si esta connectados tanto la estacion como la pc al mismo punto wifi,peo el weewx co capta nada.que es exactamente lo que tengo que poner en el archivo WeeWX.config.Gracias de antemano

hello,Veo ahora en el log que el interceptor esta recibiendo datos de la estacion pero la pagina de weewx no se actualiza.sigue la primera que hizo con el simulador

I don't believe you need to edit anything in the WeeWx.config because it isn't WeeWx that needs to find the HP2550. Rather it is the HP2550 that sends the data to the WeeWx system.

The HP2550 to WeeWx is a push connection (empuja). Whereas the GW1000 to "Weather-Display software" is a pull connection (halar). In the case of the GW1000 to "Weather-Display software" the software needs to know the IP address of the GW1000. It is the opposite with HP2550 to WeeWx.

For further troubleshooting I'm going to refer you to the WeeWx user group.

Be sure to let them know that you are running WeeWx on the local network. The same network as the HP2550.

hello, muchisimas gracias por su ayuda.He conseguido que funcione,habia que eliminar en el archivo weewx.config el parrafo donde se señala a el driver simulador, no se porque daba error de duplicado de linea y  poner :
[Interceptor]
    driver = user.interceptor
    device_type = wu-client
    solo eso, luego puse en la consola protocolo ecowitt en vez de weatherundergrop y tengo temperatura interna que con weatherundergroup no aparecia.
Todo esto en la misma red,en distinta red no he conseguido que funcione aun pero bueno eso es otra historia.De nuevo gracias por su ayuda.

As for getting it to work from a different network, you will need to deal with the firewall on the WeeWx network and configure port forwarding and port redirection as I mentioned.
