:-) There's also a possibility, according to some models, that if the storm shifts 100 miles or so to the west, that my location on Long Island may get hit as well!  It sure "feels" like snow is coming.

My site hits are up in the last hour.  NWS has not issued anything yet.  Local Weather is not claiming anything either.  By the 6:00 PM evening news things should fire up.

Here is MSLP from the GFS. This thing might move out to sea earlier than on last nights models, but still a good snowfall in some areas. Will just have to see.

Snow totals for the heck of it, I know this is not the most accurate way to derive snow totals, but just for fun.

Call me weird, but I'm looking forward to some snow.  I don't get much, if any on the coast of Virgina.  I'm heading over to the property this weekend (Halifax county, up from South Boston), have a better chance to see some.... SNOW!!

Yep Kray1000, we have a similiar forecast up north here.  I am going to estimate 13.5 inches.  I will let you know how close we get.  It's been awhile since we have had a "big one" like this one is shapeing up to be.  I can remember one year we got three 12+ inches storms within 7 days, boy that was fun shoveling that year.  I guess I will get a chance this weekend to work on my biceps.

ya, but at least I am guaranteed a white christmas pretty much.  4 inch's of hard packed at my house, made it through a couple of moderate rains.  downtown, a whopping 20 miles, not even a spec of snow.

7 day shows a bit of rain with 2-4 inches of snow Christmas eve, but I will believe that forecast when its the 23rd.

At 4pm yesterday we were under a winter storm watch. As of 4:30 am today. We are now under a winter storm warning thru sun morning. Calling for less than an inch by evening, 6 to 10 tonight & another 3 to 5 tomorrow. Have heard anything about sat night & they are clling for snow showers on sun. If the storm happens to shift west about 30 to 50 miles. We might just be in really deep do do. Dang it! This was not the time for this snow storm.

Thanks,
Anthony

When is a good time?  i would prefer a weekend dump over a work week dump anytime. Of course if people are travelling for xmas holidays, its not a good time.
