Well, I know that script works as it showed one "of magnitude 2.0 or greater within 150 miles" - a 3.0 24 miles west of Carlsbad, NM; 119 miles to epicenter from here.
While living in Vegas, I was always checking the earthquakes site. I never thought I would actually see any activity in my area after I moved but threw the script in anyway just... because.
