Here's mine - Misty is our 15 year old puggle.
She snores louder than me, her breath smells worse, and she is deafer than me.
I think that is why I am still sleeping in the house and she is in the garage.
more pics of her here: http://irontonwebcams.com/photos/puggle/puggle.htm

Thanks, she is a good pooch.
She is really a pound dog but they knew where she came from and her mixture.  It was long before the puggle became a known mix breed so we kind of adopted that name for her.
From her color I have thought she looked like she had Lab in the mix too.  Originally all the white on her face was mostly black.  Puggles are supposed to be a mix of Pug and Beagle.  The beagle howl comes thru as do a lot of other beagle traits.

Our little fella's health has been failing for the last month or two.  We had even resorted to given him daily IVs to keep him hydrated.
Today his health issues were getting too much for him to be pain free and my wife to let his suffering continue.  So we took him today to the Vet and let him pass on.  He lived a good happy 18 years with my wife.  He will be very sadly missed.....

Wow, sorry to hear about the loss Sam. Losing a loved pet that's been part of the family for so long is very rough. 18 years? That's a pretty long life for cats isn't it? Wish you and the family the best and our condolences go out to you.

Dan

Telling your 12yr. old daughter won't be easy, for sure. Don't forget the "now he isn't suffering anymore and at peace where he is now" part.   That fact seems to help take some of the edge off. Children are resilient and I hope she can recover fast.

She does not visit our house until Thursday, when I pick her up from school.  So I will come up with something.  Usually she looks forward to feeding the cat when we get home, but she knows his health has not been that well.
Oh well, I am at work, trying to get out of here for the long labor day weekend.  So I will catch you and the gang here on the forum later maybe this weekend.   I had a lot of chores/Honey-Do's/stuff planned.  Not sure how it will go now with this, but none the less, the wife needs a shoulder.  So I will be making an extra effort to stay off the computer this weekend.

Everybody should go and hug your doggie and kitty.   Give them that special treat that they sit at your feet and beg for.
....And of course hug your spouse and children tonight too.

After having 2 boys my wife knew how bummed out I was that I didn't have a chance to have "Daddy's little girl"......So she did something about it

This is Emma Jean. She's now 82 lbs of love and I SWEAR she can literally run till she pukes. I have never seen a dog with as much energy as she has...

I tend to spoil her just a bit Lol.

And BOY did she grow into that puppy fat and paws

Precious, a 12 or 13 year old all-white cat we adopted from a pound in El Paso, TX after my last cat, Tiger, a pure orange tabby monster ran off..later found him ran over in the middle of the street..I cried..I was only 7 when he ran off and 8 when we found him. Anyways..Precious is a sweety who loves food!

Wookie, a 9 1/2 year old cat (originally Cookie when I got him as a kitten in Albuquerque, NM when I was 9, he has two big spots on his right flank..he later became Cookie-Monster because he was a brat growing up..now it's Wookies because my grandmother and Dad started calling him that)..he's my child hood kitty and I know for sure that when his time comes I will be crying my eyes out!!

Here's another picture of him:

Lucky (originally Luciano-Dumas, or "Lucky Dumbass" as my aunts now ex-boyfriend named him that..how crude!), my aunts dog since I was about 11..at first I didn't like him because I didn't like dogs..but I grew out of that when I realized a dog is a little more fun than a cat at times! My aunt got him from her now-ex bf and that was about a year and a half after she moved to Mesa, AZ. Lucky is very sweet, and I'm sad because I haven't seen him since a couple of years ago..

Jazmin or "Jaz" for short..my aunt's cat after her long-time cat duo, Menard (a mix of Tabby and "mutt") and Chelsea (a mix of grey tabby and "mutt") died, about 7 months apart..they never liked me..but..Jaz is sweet..she ignores me though..hee hee..my aunt obtained Jaz from a child who was looking to give her away as a kitten because he was moving away. Well, my aunt moved before he did, and took Jaz to Mesa, Arizona all the way from Kansas City, KS.

Cat's that I cannot find pictures of:

Overdrive (died Summer of 2008)- Grandfather's cat..a pure tabby grouch

Shadow (has a tumor as far as I know)- Grandfather's cat..a tortiseshell cat..beautiful but tiny for a 7 year old cat! She's sweet.

Dora-Belle (died April-May of 2009)- Grandmother's cat..long story short, my grandmother left for Missouri to visit family..to find that my grandfather kept forgetting to give her meds for her thyroid problem..Dora was a sweet cat, but she always hid when I was around..but she eventually warmed up to me after a week!

Nosey (a stray)- Grandmother's cat that she "adopted" after Overdrive passed..he's very sweet as well, but doesn't seem to like me much..he's a grey tabby/russian blue mix. He's been illegally declawed (in otherwords, painfully-thank the previous @$$holes who neglected to care for him) and has always gotten in cat fights (when he was adopted by my grandmother, he was in poor shape..but he's improved!)

Chewy- my aunt (on Dad's side) cat..a fluffy siamese mix

Deceased cats of my family:

Bo-Bo, my mom's cat that died when I was 3. He was strikingly beautiful in all black with bright yellow eyes!
Tiger, a pure orange tabby that ran off when I was 7, found dead in the road a year later (with his tags)..
Shovelnose, my grandparent's cat that was around before I was born..he was ran over right in front of my grandmother's eyes!! He was a siamese-tabby mix..kind of interesting..with no white

Miss Priss, my grandparents cat that was black and white..died of cancer..I think
Grendel, a grey tabby cat that my mom, aunt and uncle had as kids..a pain in the ass they say, I've never seen pictures of the cat, but they say he died of old age..

Other dogs of my family:

Both of my aunt's dog (Dad's sister)

Cinnamon- a black dog, I think of a mix of Corgie and some other medium breed..she died this summer. She was old though.
Smiley- a black lab that had to be put down at age 12 because of a massive brain tumor that would have a small success rate of survival after..he was a sweet dog, though it's been about 4 years since I last saw him.
