Topic: Youtube Now Officially Sucks

I went to Youtube.com and tried to look at a video.  When I tried to subscribe, it showed a new screen and asked how I wanted to be shown.  Then it make me check a box for Google+.  Now I can't sign in and I have lost all my uploads, favorites, and subscriptions.

I don't know what Google+ is and I don't care what it is.  I wish these entities would quit changing things.  Even Yahoo Mail is screwed up now.  They're alienating users and making me write nasty emails and feedbacks.

I get your point about the irritating changes.   Perhaps they think people are too stupid to move to a new, better system unless we are forced.

Why can't we keep our old systems like we were promised?

Google+ is Google's attempt to clone Facebook.  They need to bump up this new service's user count at any cost, to convince other people (and advertisers) that Google+ is a happening place.  Every Google service has recently added annoying popups trying to force/trick you into creating a Google+ profile, when in reality everybody who wants to use the service has already signed up.  No, thanks.....

Google seems to be doing this with blogs also, requiring a sign in, otherwise they won't let me see it. I use a different browser that I deleted all the cookies in and it still manages to find this Google account I rarely and once used in that browser and require a log in.

I thought Google's' motto was do no harm...

Personally I can't stand any of them. Google, Yahoo, Bing etc. They're all buggy. I too get that pop up. I just hit "No thanks". Only problem is it will keep harassing you with that pop up.

I agree that YT has been on the downside lately, but now I'm starting to regret ever signing up for it. I'm not able to reply to some comments on my own videos unless that person is signed up for Google+, same goes with all comments on other YouTubers' channels.

Well for a contra-view I think getting rid of annonomous commenting on yt had to be done and will eventually be seen as a 'good thing'. The amount of abuse on there from (probably teenage) people hiding behind anonimity was embarrassing. So if the requirement for a login is introduced why re-invent the wheel and not use Google's universal login (which is not just G+ but used across all their products - including yt now)?

I use all kinds of Google stuff and love it. A single sign-in gives me access to all. And since I use multiple computers at home and work, by using Chrome and signing into Google, I have my favorites, passwords, etc, etc, no matter what computer I'm on. Plus all my Gmail stuff including contacts and calendar syncs to my S3. Couldn't get much easier.
