Winter sandstorm in south Greece
« on: February 21, 2013, 04:06:53 PM »
A very rare phenomenon is happening now in South Greece. We have very strong east winds with gusts above 50 km. They have moved sand from Africa. When winds started the blew up temperature from 14.0c to 20.7c. (the local time was 22:00).
With very few drops of rain everything is brown and muddy. And all this in the middle of the winter.
If you look at the satellite image, you can understand what is happening.
