Greetings all,
I don't know if this is a FAQ or not, but I thought it was a good place to post it.
What is it? Well it's a Psychrometer, used to measure humidity.
With all the modern day weather stations and digital gizmo's available today we no longer see something like this in the labs or today's homes.
I also have a Taylor 1328J 9" sling Psychrometer, another very accurate instrument, that I use to verify the humidity my Davis weather station is reporting. One must have a slide rule or the graph that is used to determine the humidity.
The thermometer on the left is called the "Dry Bulb" and the thermometer on the right is called the "Wet Bulb".
The two readings are taken and used with the graph to determine the humidity. 4-1/2" X 8-1/2"
Found this one on the net, outstanding condition, don't know the age, just fun to have hanging around.
Ever see one before? Anyone else have one? Do you use it?
Just thought you might like to see one,
Bill.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
