"Proofread" Please?
« on: August 13, 2012, 01:32:47 PM »
I have been building a site for a preschool center for the past few weeks, and I was wanting to know if anyone could see any errors that I may have missed or some suggestions for optimizing it...The only error which I'm working on fixing, is that when you click on a page and then click on the top of the page to go back, you get an error message, but I'm fixing it 8-)

Thanks everybody :-)

Well Americans can't spell 'centre'  ;) but the only thing I wondered about was preschool should be hypenated on home page?

There is some paragraph formatting could be better in a few places.
For a small block of text it's often best to start a new line rather than have it start just one word at the end of a line. This
may show differently on different screen sizes but new line for sentences would apply to all.

(see what I did there)

Clicking on the top header redirects back, but if I hadn't read your post I wouldn't have known that. Consider adding a "Home" button to the menu.

As a matter of personal taste, the bright colors hurt my eyes and I wanted to leave the website quickly. I realize that it is a children's site and it is good to create a fun theme, but I think mostly adults will be visiting it. At the least try using a black font with the light green headers. The white font is hard to see.

I am not much good at spelling or grammar, so I can't say much there. All in all it looks great.  =D>

Thanks Dr.Obbins! I was told to make the colors bright :-( I dont like the bright colors either, but I showed them the site and they thought the colors were fine so whatever makes the customer happy!! 8-)...

And a home tab is prolly a good idea.....

Maybe put 'Fitzwather' in the Weather box grouped with the WU banner instead of the Blogroll box? When I put my pointer over Fitzweather it says ".. weather forecasts.. that's why I mention that. If it's going to be a blog after it's construction then never mind. Other than that it looks like the kiddies should enjoy and possibly have some ideas for it too. =D>
