Wow! That's insane for Kansas Ryan!! At least the dew points arent too high in your neck of the woods, we have been in the 90s lately with dew points in the low 70s. #-o #-o #-o NOT FUN

Our's won't be that high, but we're a little more humid here.  After three days of being wishy-washy, here's the forecast for Green Country

I'm sure it will change by tonight.

Not to bad as we speak. Forecast to hang at the century mark all week. My WxSim is forecasting a bit higher at about 101-104°F. Hit 100° the first time this year today. Looks to be another long hot summer for the plains.

Gotta love the plains. Extreme heat in summer and biting cold wind chill in winter. Being able to see a supercell  roll in from  50 miles. If you like extreme weather in all season the plains is the place to be.  I love it.

on the flip side, it's 65 here now close to 11am and high should only be in the low 70's. We really do need rain though as many others do.

Whew I feel for you guys, and in two days I'll feel like you guys.  The heat and humidity return to the midwest on Thursday.  NWS has us at 102 but I could see us going higher.  Humidity will be insane too because the corn is pollinating and you can just see a haze hanging over the fields.

I will be a little worried as well in the coming days...We have only gotten a little over half an inch of rain in 3 weeks when we are supposed to get 5 inches for the month, and with this prolonged heat heading this way, any big gusts of wind could start trouble.

humidity here is 45%, but tomorrow it should go lower  because of the heat..  the rain issue is a real problem.   The average for my station since 2002 is 5.93,  we have had 1.26  carrying over last summer's deficit.   So I watered the garden tonight figuring that the leaves have enough time to dry and the soil to absorb as deep as it is going..

what has me worried is that the 36 inch sensor is in clay and it is beginning to dry out down that far... 4 inches I can see.   I don't water over by the sensors  so the values are pretty well based on actual soil conditions with bare earth above.
