Nobody complains about valid chasers. They do, however, complain about the chasers who do it for the thrill. Stay off the damned road if you're going to do that.

And wouldn't you agree that the more chasers and thrill-seekers there are, it creates a safety issue when they are all chasing the same thing?

Yes there certainly can be a safety issue, but it's a free country and people can do whatever they want. Complaining about it won't change it.

I do actually completely agree with the safety issue... There are a ton of chasers all piling on one road sometimes. A lot of them are just random people that want to watch the storm. They aren't doing anything to help the public.

Never said it wasn't a free country. But it isn't as free when you are jeopardizing others' lives. As some of these chuckleheads do.

Exactly. The lookey-loos need to stay the hell home. If one gets in the way and impedes a responding emergency vehicle, I hope they get charged criminally.

I always keep that in the back of my head too. I've seen a few 'busts'. That's a big reason why I don't play into a lot of the 'excitement'.

Definitely need to heighten awareness, but not overdo it.

Ugh, I have a baseball game to attend tonight. They say ours won't really get started until after 10, so I hope it holds off until then.

I can tell you though after going outside at lunch (I am at the office) that the air is quite...'soupy'. Not sure what the MCAPE values are, but bet they're starting to rise.
