I would make mention of the cell back close to the line near crowell and how that notch looks promising but if I did I'd jinx it.

Not looking good for my cell...The derecho is catching that cell fast

I completely missed those cells forming near Dallas; I have my beams glancing that way....

ok I'm officially moving to the Metroplex for my radar chasing.  lol  I think those storms to the west are just too caught up in the boundary layer.  I feel selfish in being disappointed considering the afternoon was pretty epic, but this evening was a tad disappointing.

instant regret for switching.  lol  Hard to leave the 2000+ cape values out west for the 1000 values in the metroplex.

And the Seymour cell is almost no more...Last update on the radar showed significant weakening...There are a couple of good looking cells trying to form around Guthrie worth mentioning...Since they're with the boundary, they probably wont form tornadoes though.

I feel the same way.  I'm surprised they didn't just go with a severe watch there.

I would watch for some flash flooding in western OK...GR3 is reporting a large swath of 2.5-3.5 inches of rain in the last hour!

Serves him right.  I have NO sympathy at all for glory seekers.

Definitely a big possibility.

Rain has started here in West Central Illinois, sounds like it may end sometime a few days from now.

Some nasty stuff heading into Fort Smith right now, it is now Tor warned.  Today is starting early.  Although I don't suspect we will see a lot of tor warnings today since everything should be linear.  Bow echos could make for interesting weather though.

As for the local report, it's been drizzling/raining all night.  Cloudy and overcast, I think there will be some issues with the atmosphere destabilizing.

I might check a few times but it looks like pretty boring stuff today.  Some funnels reported but nothing reaching the ground and I think that is the trend.  Most storms have 10 - 15,000 feet tops.  There is plenty of lift in front of the front but like IMADreamer it will only be some spin-ups in the notches of bow-echos.

Tornado reported on ground in Joaquin, Tx by the FD at 5:45 pm ET.
Excellent hook and velocities on the LA torn warn.  Best yet for me this late.

Back for a bit..Went into the woods for some fresh air

Im assuming you are talking about the one near Kingston...I looked at the radar over the past hour on that cell and it looks nice...seems to be losing echo though

Yes near Kingston.  It may have cycled down, or it has become rain wrapped.  It might go again.  On Level II radar it almost had a debris ball about 10-12 minutes ago or so.  Dr Forbes has been on this one too.  Awesome!
