weather station lacrosse 3610

my weather staion wont come up on the computer because it says no weather station detected at port com 5 which is the one i use what should i do? delete everything and redownload i dont know please help me out here

Assuming Windows XP...

Right Click on "My Computer" and select Properties.
Click on the Hardware tab
Click on the Device Manager Button.
Expand the "Ports (COM &LPT).

What COM ports are listed?

Then COM5, what you tried to use, is what you should be using. I don't know anything about hooking up a Lacrosse so I can't help any there.
