Acurite 5 in 1 fan won't stop running

The fan on my Acurite 5 in 1 will not shut off.  I took the batteries out to test its solar panel and when I covered the solar panel it stopped.  Does anyone have any ideas for me?

The fan only runs during the day by the solar panels only to help with  internal airflow . It's used during the  daytime  and helps with the ambient temperature  readings .  Hope that helps .
