If you downloaded the new version vwsaprs around May to June 2008, you do not "need" to upgrade. This is when rotate.* was removed for non hams.... You would probably know by now as your data would have stopped showing up. At that time CW and DW users (non ham) had to switch to servers starting wtih CWOP.* Otherwise your data would have been blocked, and you would have rec'd emails from Mike Barth.
check here for the servers to use
http://www.wxqa.com/servers2use.htmlYour data on the wxqa site should look like this (unless you are a ham) see bolded part.
CW8618>APRS,TCPXX*,qAX,
CWOP-3:@041157z4352.53N/07918.77W_329/009g009t006r000P000p000h62b10198v8
6/71 data packets and 0/0 duplicates; 570/6745 bytes
If you had not upgraded, and somhow data was still getting there the bolded cwop-3 would say FIRST, SECOND, THIRD....
So basically if your data is still appearing on wxqa, you dont "need" to upgrade. If there is in fact a new version, why not, but it is not required.
