Wim,
Thanks for helping me correct that. It was my intention to remove the "no choice" section so I can link directly to a particular page on Facebook. I'll go back to working that correctly at a later time.
You can link directly to any existing page by adding the pagename/number to the url. Example: if you want to link directly to your WD-Live page use:
http://lightningweather.com/weather2/index.php?p=21 or maybe you have french speaking friends from Canada, you could give them the link to the forecast page in french
http://lightningweather.com/weather2/index.php?p=50-3&lang=fr I have also noticed the clientraw is supposed to update the page temps/conditions every few seconds.
Here I am lost. Thre are only two realtime-data files uploaded as of now.
- The clientraw is used to update the WD-Live page.
- The steelseries have there own realtime file, as discussed earlier.
I had an issue with WD having stopped collecting data from my station. I got that going again, but now the page is not updating but every 5 minutes when the testtags upload.
Which page is not updating? Your home page is:
http://lightningweather.com/weather2/index.php?p=10I have gone in and set updates to every 5 seconds in the wsSettings page, to no avail.
This is really only generating enormous loads on your webserver. There are realtime pages which retrieve small amounts of data for gauges and the like. And there is the rest of the pages in the template which are only updated when the big load of data has arived. If there are meters the visitors maybe want to see them every so many seconds. But the startpage which all that information? The realtime values of WU and WD-L are continually updated. The rest of the values evey 5 seconds is overkill.
Any ideas on a fix for this? The clientraw does upload from WD every few seconds as I had originally set.
Due to the language difficulties I am lost what you want to achieve.
The WU panel refreshes its information every 5 seconds or so
==> works ok as shown on your startpage. I hope the upload from WD is also that frequent
The gauges request there information based on a setting, currently var g_count = 30 seconds.
==> functions correctly at
http://lightningweather.com/weather2/index.php?p=25So does WD-Live for which the request time it is set to 60 seconds in your config.xml, but uploading happens every 5 seconds.
==> functions correctly at
http://lightningweather.com/weather2/index.php?p=21The rest of the information will be updated based on a new version of testtags available, which is default set to 5 minutes to lessen the load on your webserver.
You could set WD to upload the testtags every 1 or 2 minutes, but why? There are no moving dials on the other pages and the average / min /max values do not change that often. And very important, all the other pages have no changing weather-data on them. The only exception is
http://lightningweather.com/weather2/index.php?p=61 which only display 5 minute values.
