Topic: Weather Underground Upgrades

Looks like Weather Underground has started to upgrade their website. There’s a blue banner on my PWS dashboard linking to the preview site: https://preview.wunderground.com/.

So far, the only difference I can see is support for dark mode. Everything else is still being worked on and can’t be previewed yet. Fingers crossed the PWS page gets some upgrades. They also have a Discord page: https://discord.gg/SNp7Z29Ahx/.

Me too! It’s ridiculous the settings are binary. I’m not on Discord but if they’re wanting feedback please give us custom selections.

Is anyone having issues with your "Personal Weather Station Dashboard" reporting OFFLINE, then ONLINE, off, on, off, on.....
While offline, refresh page, back online.
Reporting...Last update was 1 hour ago, back reporting again past 5 minutes.
Wondering if upgrades are causing this?

Probably digging around in the basement. Although so far I haven't had those issues. You can change from degrees F to C by using the gear icon located near the Search Stations box.

Yes you can but then the wind speed goes to KMH.

What is being requested here is C with MPH.

This is a issue in both "my profile_member settings_my devices" tab status, and my "Personal Weather Station Dashboard" page. My PWS page was reporting from DeKalb airport 40+ miles away from here.
It seems to have  stabilize since my posting. I've seen these glitches before when WU doing work/upgrading.
My connection/updating has been rock solid, so with this issue out the blue, wondered if this due to whatever WU is doing.

Remember that this is a preview, a work in progress. Things will change over the next few weeks until the final release. Discord link in the green banner at the top of the page. Voice your wants, needs, and desires.

I am using their Discord tool to contribute ideas for what can be improved.

I'd like to recall all of the great features WU had in the past.  Funny thing is, "out of sight, out of mind"

I would like to see the page views counter back, and the wind icon on the map update rapidly like the old Wundermap.

If you are not getting the new UI preview it is because "for now the preview site is only open to subscribers of the ad-free product or who have an active PWS. We are hoping to get in more users soon." Per wu-dan on the Discord.

I use the app occasionally but after 5 years and several updates it still will not open to my location. It opens to a location 3 miles away.
The old WU is gone forever.  They will never be able to return it to what is used to be.

Well, I'm invited to view the new UI but I just get forecasts. . . and I can't even search for/call up a station about half a mile away.

Seems to be very fluid. I searched my station yesterday but search seems inactive today.

Thank you for making that clear.  The new WU is a "work in progress" Expect features come in...and maybe disappear. 

PLEASE - Everyone who has ideas for improvements (...as if) should register on Discord and go to the NEW CHANNEL (they just set up) - "Suggestions" and provide ideas.

They are making small improvements in real time. On the preview version now you can select between Imperial and metric. They are going to implement  being able to customize values e.g hPa, inches, mm, ect.
