Topic: SSL/TLS issue causing intermittent "Security Issue" Error

I have been having a struggle with my web site for several days. The site previously worked fine, but began issuing the SSL related "HTTP Strict Transport Security" (HSTS) error a few days back. It comes and goes, https://www.rogerscityweather.com was working OK until early this morning:  Fri, 02-May-2025 5:34am EDT.

I spent a lot of time on the hosting support chat (which I suspect is just a bot) that recommended a bunch of things that I tried. It is difficult to tell whether they worked or not since the problem comes and goes.

My alternate "site" URL http://www.rcwx.tech works OK. It is basically a redirect of the rogerscityweather.com site. Interestingly, the SSL/TLS page on the Cpanel shows both domains/sites under the same Certificate.

I gave up with the "tech support" and edited the site heavily to work around this problem.

I suspect that there is something going on with the SSL Certificate renewal that is automatically refreshing periodically causing this problem. I have run my site with Hosting24 for years with no issue. In the past, their support was good, but this time not so much.

I had to significantly change my site to eliminate a lot of regular Saratoga Scripts features in order to get something to work.

I would like any suggestions, or approaches to try with the "support" in order to get this resolved. I don't like what I had to do, but I'm between a rock and a hard place here.

They responded when I posted an "unfavorable review".
They fixed the site not loading, but meteohub doesn't like their force HTTPS solution.

Strangely, when I added the same string to another HTTP item in meteobridge with a 15 second upload interval, it started working..

Hey Greg, right now when I try to access the rogerscityweather site it is blocked by my security software, Bitdefender.  I have only been using Bitdef a few months now so that issue could be on my end?  Anyway, it blocks the site as "suspicious".

The rcwx site loaded okay, took a long time but it did load.

This didn't last. Back to the same old problem.

I think that something is periodically being overwritten at Hosting24 on the server. It comes and goes, works, then doesn't.
