5/4/2025 Update

A pretty big update this morning! At least, in my timezone (America Central Daylight),
but anyway..

New Features:

• A Fully Functional Unit Switcher
• Lightning Data
• Updated Graph Data
• Forecast Dropdown Locations

Known Bugs/Issues:

• Both Cameras have issues:
• Navarre Beach Camera remains down.
• Florida Traffic Camera Changed their domain, requiring the website to set up a CORS Proxy Server.

Looking good.
One thing that used to work, Compare Nearby Stations used to work but now shows "No active weather stations found nearby."
One minor thing is you might want to use a slightly darker color on your current temperature to increase the contrast with the background.

5/4/2025 Update 2

Put a lot of focus on my project with Cursor, and there are SEVERAL Major updates to the website!

New Features

• Mobile Version of the App
• METAR Weather Data Page
• Florida Traffic Camera Replaced with a Gulf Breeze Pier Camera
• Added Countdown until next season
• Fixed Several Errors appearing in the console
• Lightning Data feature complete!

And there is still more to come!

Observations:
Last updated  time initially, and on data refresh, shows your local time then immediately switches to my local time.

Selection of Metric units looks OK.... until data refreshed then goes back to imperial even though Metric tab is still highlighted.

If Metric selected, when data refreshes, reselection of Imperial needed to then be able re-select Metric. In this case, on reselection of Imperial after data refresh, Double arrows are shown on Max Min temps

Rain graph shows rain over the last 12 hrs, but rain today shows 0.00

Selection of " Compare Nearby Stations" just gives :    Error loading nearby stations. Please try again later.

Possible improvement:
On Nearby METAR Observations page, it would be nice to know at what time the observations were made.
The warning for outdated data was shown for Milton. Whiting Field South. (May 2, 2025, 10:56pm).

You're obviously doing lots of (good) work here. Keep it up.
Experience is always valuable.

5/7/2025 Update

Another Pretty Big Update Today! Fixed a couple of bugs with the website.

New Features:

• Alerts Page, with a large Inspiration from Saratoga Weather's Base-USA Alert Page
• Redesigned the Compare Weather Stations Layout
• Added Error Workarounds.
• Other Small Fixes

Issues Fixed:

• Fixed Compare Weather Stations button returning no data.
• Fixed Forecast City's Displaying all as one word.
• Fixed Forecast NWS Office Showing the Same Office For Each City.
• Fixed Forecast Time Issuances displaying as the current time.
• Fixed METAR Data showing no icon, N/A icon workaround added.

Any Issues or Errors spotted can be reported on this topic.

5/20/2025 Update

The Project Was Slowly updated overtime, but a new update is finally here!

New Features:

• A New Page: NHC Outlooks! Tropical Outlooks, Safety Information, and Satellite Imagery focused on the tropical basins are now available.
• New Card: Weather Alert Maps. (From WKRG-TV.)
• Hourly Forecasts: Forecasts Hour-by-Hour going into the next week! (Locations dropdown/functions are non-functional. Should be by the next update.)

Known Bugs:

• High/Low Temperatures are just the NWS Forecasts instead of the observed Highs/Lows for the day.

Wow. Your site is coming along very nicely.

Just a couple of things:
1. Last updated  showing my Local Time. It initially showed your local time, but then immediately changed to my local time.
2. the rain graph for last 12 hrs shows rainfall, but Rain Today shows 0.00

Watching the time, it reverts back to your time when it is downloading new data.  As soon as the new data is loading it goes back to my time.  Since the data loads in under a second, it's a quick blink.
The rain graph does show .1 in the last 12 hours.

5/22/2025 Update (Bug Fix)

This is a minor update, simply fixing the bug where it shows the user's timezone instead of the station's timezone, also, it was grabbing the current time instead of the station time.

This fix has been tested on several different time zones, so (hopefully) it should work, let me know if there are still any issues, thank you everybody for reporting issues with this project.

I'm also aware of the dew point graph issue, there is a major issue with all the graphs though, as it is generating random data instead of pulling historical data from Wunderground.

Yeah, that's not the only problem with the graphs, the data is inaccurate, it's generating random data instead of pulling historical data. (From Wunderground or some other source my PWS sends data to.)

I'll be working on it, though I want to continue working on other pages as well.

So a pretty big update, with a major bug issue, and a new page! Let's dive into the fixed issues:

• Fixed Dew Point Graph Not Working
• Corrected Graph Data
• Unconfirmed: Graph Data shows station's time.
• High/Low Data corrected.
• Fixed Satellite Images not updating.

New Features:

• NOAA Weather Radio Archives: A list of NWR Audio Clips I archived, which are free to use with appropriate credit.
• About Page updated.
• Info Box near the High/Low Temps area for clarification.

Thanks for the report, may be the function the Cursor software added to default to the station time zone for the graphs. I'll be on it.

Graphs are still a problem. 
They are supposed to be 12-hour graphs but mine only go back an hour.
Also, they seem an hour behind.
Otherwise, it's a really nice site.

The NWS & Ambient Weather API Servers are both down, Ken True's Saratoga Weather also shows no forecast.
Several Other Sites including CNYWeather, BismarckWeather, Niagara County Weather, and several other sites have no NWS Forecast.
