Topic: Ecowitt HP2550 vs HP2560 Console Buttons

Hello All,

I have tried to wade through forums and reviews online but still can't find any recent comments about the Ecowitt HP2560 (touch operated) and HP2560 (physical buttons) consoles.
I KNOW that the HP2550 does not have the built-in pseudo-antenna housing the temp/hum/baro sensor, but that's easy and obvious to understand.
I would like to find some feedback on the buttons - Are the physical buttons clicky and hard to push? Are the touch controls finicky and inconsistent? I understand that all the other features are equal, so my choice hinges on the buttons.

I have an Ambient Weather WS-2000 console (HP2550 clone). The buttons are not hard to push and work reliably. The user interface using the buttons is not very intuitive in my opinion. For me, the need to use the buttons is very infrequent, so I tend to forget how to do things between times and sometimes have to consult the wiki or user manual to relearn.

Edit: I prefer keeping the Temp/Humidity sensor separate from the console, so I am glad my WS-2000 came with the HP2550 rather than the 2560.

Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it. I prefer the physical buttons, but I have a strange psychological fixation to the fact that HP2560 is a newer model.
Here in Australia Ecowitt has the best price and they always bundle my preferred WS90 with the newer 2560 console. I might have to buy them separately. $$

I agree with Alanb.
I have the Froggit HP1000SE (HP2551 clone) with physical buttons.
They are not difficult to push.
I also don`t find the need to use them that often.
