Radio that does not need battery refreshed?
« on: January 04, 2019, 05:36:01 PM »
A casual weather fan and a newbie that lives by the ocean in suburban NY (Sandy Country). Looking for a weather radio with AM/FM that I can leave unused in a drawer until needed. I keep a hoard of disposable batteries around so I do not want an internal rechargeable battery that need to be periodically recharged via AC or cranking (or it goes dead) since I will not remember to do that. Can you recommend such a radio? A built in flashlight would be a plus, as other features that might prove useful, but are not my main need.

Thanks

How about building/purchasing a crystal radio? No batteries needed ever, self powered comes with earphones.
