WeatherUnderground / Weather Underground Upgrades
« Last post by Cturnbull23 on Today at 04:36:14 PM »
Looks like Weather Underground has started to upgrade their website. There’s a blue banner on my PWS dashboard linking to the preview site: https://preview.wunderground.com/.

So far, the only difference I can see is support for dark mode. Everything else is still being worked on and can’t be previewed yet. Fingers crossed the PWS page gets some upgrades. They also have a Discord page: https://discord.gg/SNp7Z29Ahx/.

WeatherCat / Re: End of WeatherCat Forums

It's likely the Online Safety Act may have had something to do with it but there are many reasons why stuff closes so I guess we may never know unless someone here knows the actual reason.

WeatherCat / End of WeatherCat Forums
« Last post by wurzelmac on Today at 08:29:35 AM »
Hi there, it is very quiet around here in this place for WeatherCat. I still do not understand why the origin forums have had to been closed - there are so many forums hosted within the UK that haven't been closed. I am sitting here, scratching my head and wondering the real background of closing https://athena.trixology.com/index.php:?:

I show an error of you need the API Key for Aeris Weather. Do you have it in your settings? Plus do you have the .log files on your web server such as forecastAM.log, forecastEV.log etc...

Chuck
Hi Chuck
Yes, I get the same,

Quote
Note: the AW-forecast.php script requires an API keys from aerisweather.com to operate.
Visit api.aerisapi.com to register for an API key.
If you are uploading data to pwsweather.com, you can get free API keys from here to use.
Unable to obtain the temperature variables from /home/mcdconcepts/vw/AW-forecast.php, check the installation of that script.

I do have the AW keys listed in settings.php. My other pages access it no problem,

https://vinesweather.com/wxcompareforecast.php

I have tried putting them in fc-settings.php where it is for stand-alone but that just looks similar to above URL.

I do have all 4 log uploaded with 777 permissions.

It's looking like an issue with AW-forecast.php.

Many thanks Chuck.

If anyone wants to give this a try, it's up on Github now.
https://github.com/trophyguy/CNYWeatherAppTemplate
You'll have to download the zip, extract, and manually install this on your phone.

This is an Android App for users of Weather Display Software.
As long as you're FTP'ing testtags and clientraw, you should be able to use this.

Bottom navigation bar you'll have a Config link.
You will need to fill in all the needed data/paths:
  • Name Your App
  • path to your testtags
  • path to clientraw
  • input your Lat and Long for forecast data
  • testtags update interval minutes
  • clientraw update interval seconds (called QuickUpdates in the app)
  • add multiple zones/county codes for warnings
  • add local weather radar code

I've never done this before. So let me know what I have messed up
or what can be improved upon. Thank you!

What Weather Software should I use/buy? / Re: Analysing weather data
« Last post by sleepy67 on May 13, 2025, 04:54:11 PM »
Hi.  Bit of an update on using Tableau to graphically represent weather data.  Fig1 focuses on temperatures with the upper graph grouped by year and month and the lower graph performing a count when day temp > 20 degrees.  Fig2 is quite basic and shows, for each day, pressure vs rain accumulation.  Fig3 is a weekly bar graph for rain accumulation.  There is a filter top right to select date ranges and each bar is a weeks worth of rain with the blocks showing when it rained continuously.
Hope this is helpful and I'd be interested if anyone else uses Tableau.
Thanks
Tony

No, the console firmware has no way of knowing which sensor is installed in the ISS.

This is likely a dumb question, but here goes:

I just installed new firmware to my console ....... 3.88   Does this new firmware detect which sensor I have and make the temperature offset automatically?   Probably not likely, but I had to ask!

Thanks!!!!
