The extremely gusty and high winds that made the Marshall Fire unfightable were reported to have gusts over 110 mph in places; in my backyard, I saw a gust of 49 mph.
My station is poorly sited for wind but a better-placed anemometer would be a maintenance nightmare, so I'll live with the observations I get.
The other two lines are the roof-mounted stations at the NCAR Mesa Lab (near to me) and the NCAR Foothills Lab (closer in elevation).
