I guess they forgot the basic tenant of production software changes: NEVER ON FRIDAY.  Do in the dead-of-night Saturday.  Hard on the developers, but easy on the users.

My V4 forecast is still dead.  Just an FYI as my V5 is working.  Albeit slower than the V4 runs when working.

Another change I needed to make with PHP 8.1.5 to get my logs to start working.  Was receiving this error when forecast-compare-include.php fired:
Code: [Select]
Fatal error</b>: Uncaught TypeError: date(): Argument #2 ($timestamp) must be of type ?int, string given in /home/indigopc/public_html/forecast-compare-include.php:254
Changed Line 254 from:
Code: [Select]
if ($WSUpdate == date($mask,$entry[0])) {        // then we have an entry for that day
to

Code: [Select]
if ($WSUpdate == date($mask,(int)$entry[0])) {        // then we have an entry for that day

Weather Website PHP/AJAX scripting / Re: Advforecast2 uncaught error

Yes, it was likely a timeout where no data was returned from the curl request .. that is an issue with the V4.x advforecast2.php script if no (or unexpected HTML) is returned from forecast.weather.gov page.

I have to say I am no longer tech savy.  I was able to connect to the "wifilogger setup" network that showed on my laptop, I held down the red button on the logger for 3 seconds a bunch of times, and then for 15 seconds. Nothing happened.  I know at one point I had gotten into the setup when I first started using it but I can't figure out how to get into it again.  I am very frustrated.

I have a pdf called "manual WIFILogger 2018" and it talks about "enable none secure access point network"

I can't see an app to access it or anything.  I guess I will have to unplug the Davis station every few days or at most once a week, take the batteries out and then put them back and plug it in again.

I am lost

Hi,

I'm new here, just signed up, and it's raining today so I figured I reach out and talk to you.

I have been utilizing your data for a construction project we have going on over on Jog Road. We are primarily focused on getting the most accurate rain data as possible, and I wanted to know if you had a recommended device that we would be able to purchase that would be able to digitally display rain data from our job site. I just looked up your Tempest and by the looks of the additional Cocorahs rain gauge, I'm guessing the Tempest might not be the most accurate in terms of tracking rain data. We can chat offline or in person as well, as I know you are just right down the street from us. I know nothing about these systems whatsoever.

Thanks and let me know,

Weather Website PHP/AJAX scripting / Advforecast2 uncaught error
« Last post by CNYWeather on Today at 01:17:28 PM »
This happened a few weeks ago and saw it this afternoon also.
Would this be bad data from the NWs that caused the script to error like this?

All better now.

With all the connections you are making, you may not be able to resolve your issues until you get a GW2000.
I really don't think the developers of the GW1000/1100 expected that many people to push the unit to the limit, HAH!, they were wrong.
