New Web Miracles
« on: April 17, 2025, 02:46:31 PM »
I moved away from my Provider and set up the Weather-Staion Website using the Saratoga Scripts on my Synology NAS.

I can basically get it to work quite nicely. But there is on thing that I cannot figure out where it comes from. Everyonce in a while the testtags.php numers appear on top of the pages even before the <head> section. I had such effects years before but forgot the way to fix it.[attachment id=1

What weather station do you have?

That doesn't look like testtags.php, it looks like one of the clientraw*.txt files.  Never seen that here.
Good luck

It may be a setting in Weather-Display that is including the clientrawextra.txt into testtags.php as raw text before the <?php in testtags.php.

Thank you all for your kind replies.

I once again followed Ken's instructions on how to properly setup Weather-Display with all the bunch of checkboxes, switches and times. After that tutorial the ghost-numbers disappeared.

By the way: I use a Synology DS723's Webstation for the saratoga templates and scripts and it sorted out to be quite useful after many strugles. I like Synology's possibilities tu use different Versions of php. That opens up the possibility to use nice older programs like WU-Graphs 1.8.0.

Despite many concerns I chose cloudflared Tunnels to proxy the Websites. It is not easy to manage, but can be done experimenting with the cach controls so realtime data can be made available withi reasonable response times.

Best regards from Jachen (https://meteowiden.com) to be finished yet. Older versions (php 7.4) [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  not online yet.

Can you share a link to download the nice graph files?  I have WUreports and history but those graphs would make a nice addition.

https://meteo.widen-online.ch/ still shows the "ghost-numbers" at the top of the page while https://www.meteowiden.com/ shows multiple warnings. Can you share the link to the website for the image you posted or is it not online yet? It looks good. I run my website on a Synology DiskStation DS220+.

The https://meteo.widen-online.ch/ has testtags.php containing just the clientrawextra.txt stuff.. I think that the WD processing of testtags.php is confused.  Check the FTP log to see what is processed and uploaded.

The issues with https://www.meteowiden.com/ are caused by NOT configuring the AW-forecast key in Settings.php so no forecast is available.
