WeatherView32 Version 8 Professional for Davis Vantage Pro 2
« on: January 01, 2024, 11:55:51 AM »
Didn't see a wanted to sell or buy section, but I am in the market for a registered full version of Weatherview 32 Version 8 Professional software, for the Davis Vantage Pro 2.  I figured there might be someone on the forum who has a copy that they would be will to sell at a reasonable price.  That company has "paused" operations, so I am forced to seek the software on the secondary market.

You might want to contact Dave Heider via email ( wxview@weatherview32.com ) to see if he would sell you a license key. Last contact I had from him was last year. He had been working on version 9 prior to suspending business. He was adding solar/UV to it.  I have the version 8 download but only a key and book for version 7.

Two emails and no response.  Offered to pay full price for the CD and booklet for Version 8 Professional.

This is the last response I had early last year......

"I have version 9 in beta form. Personal family medical issues have delayed release. Hoping for late fall. The UV support for VP2  is probable.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but ran across this while looking for a WV32 replacement yesterday.  I found Weather Display, https://www.weather-display.com/files.php, which looks to have similar functionality, and at least for me has been easier to set up so far than WV32.

Aye, I use Weather Display; it wasn't too expensive, and is definitely the most powerful weather station monitor program out there... unfortunately, configuration is scattered across multiple dialog boxes, a result of development being scattered across decades; so setting specific config options can be a bit of a headache sometimes, requiring a great deal of poking around...
