Scud running over
« on: October 19, 2015, 10:53:15 PM »
Maybe the last photo night for a while as high pressure is building in. I'm trying something a little different with a long lens (shot taken at 200 mm) as the scud runs in over the leward side of the mountains for a change. Low pressure sliding eastward is spitting weather across the Santa Cruz Mountains and as it all winds down, the final moisture is coming out.

The long shot has posed some problems that I need to sort out, and any comments are welcome. First, the haze was hard to overcome. I used a polarizing filter for the exposure, and several filters in post to remove the haze and sharpen the shot. I also started from a RAW image, not the JPG I usually use. Again, all critique and advice is most appreciated, including criticism.
