What a difference a week can make.

Last Wednesday we had a low of 39° (4 C). Today we were up to 90° (32 C) with a heat index of 102°.

An interesting evening in Chicago yesterday:

We had almost ¾" of rain in about half an hour and major winds. Other suburbs and parts of the city faired much worse with tree damage and power outages, some are still out this evening. Currently we are in the high 90s, heat index at 111° F. More of the same tomorrow.

I live in Wheaton, a Chicago suburb about 20 miles Southwest of O’Hare. We didn’t get any rain here yesterday but today was a scorcher. 103F temperature with a 123 heat index. Tomorrow, Wednesday, is supposed to be about the same. Not a lot of fun. Miss being able to walk my dogs—too hot and dangerous for that!

I'm sure the Russians are behind it.  ;)

In my post 5 days ago I stated the temperature was 103 with a heat index of 123. Last night it got down to 48 and now a pleasant 83 with low humidity, for Chicago that is, 36%. Later this week back around 100 with high humidity. Can’t blame the Russians or big oil, maybe global warming?😀

Well, it is a different day. They'll "circle back" to the others, or find new ones, when the current malaise has been deemed ineffective at further BS-ing us.
