Many ways to do this,... just stick a ruler in the ground and put a camera on it.
...I choose a bit more standardization, etc...

Pretty neat.

I am glad that you have both the Polar Bear and Penguin monitoring both the snow depth and the levels.

I changed to the wrought iron version. It's more open not as susceptible to drifting with wind also doesn't warm near as much reducing melting around gauge on sunny days. I painted white also with only black on numbers. Not sure where I purchased several years ago but paid around $90 shipped.
