Driver for USB logger?

Is installing davis weather link still needed? or is there a standalone driver. If i remember you had to install there software before the logger would work.

And the logger needs to be switched to "serial port mode" - forget the correct term for it off the top of my head. I think that was the only requirement for using the Davis software.

The third-party USB loggers already work in serial port mode.

I would install it anyway. It's an easy way to set alarms and do other things. I use it only for that.
Davis VP2 (cabled) Uploading to PWS, Weather Underground, Weathercloud, WOW, WeatherBug, AWEKAS and Twitter, using Cumulus.  Cabled = fewer problems, less maintenance and better reliability!
