Topic: Small Gif to menu items

I have searched this forum for the answer but no luck so sorry if this is a repeat. I wish to add a small "New" gif to the xml menu in Saratoga Template when I update something. Can someone please tell me the right code.

Here's an example for you. Just replace my "new.gif" with whatever you have
and which folder it's in. Mine is in the root directory. If you dont have one,
mine is attached below.

In my flyout-menu.xml I have

<item caption="Ontario Roads" img="ajax-images/blinking_new.gif">Just replace the path and file with the one you want.

This reminded me to take that out as no longer new

I'm on sick leave due to a hand injury so thought I'd work on my site. Though I'm still quite dumb in where to put the correct code lol. You will get fed up with me soon asking so many questions...

In my fly out menu, I've got the new gif working on links under main headings, but where do I place in the main heading to show there is new content?

For example, next to the main heading "Reports"
