Hydrologic Outlook
National Weather Service Paducah KY
521 AM CST Sat Feb 9 2019
...Extended period of moderate to heavy rain possible Sunday night
through Monday night...
Confidence is increasing that periods of moderate to occasionally
heavy rain could produce from 2 to 4 inches of rainfall over much
of the quad state region Sunday through Monday night. Locally
higher amounts would also be possible. With fairly wet soil
conditions already in place, this rain could lead to another round
of areal flooding in many locations. In addition, the rainfall
could serve to exacerbate the on-going river flooding across much
of the region. If forecast confidence continues to grow as the
system approaches, flood watches will likely be needed in future
forecasts.
