Well, ...vreihen  already nailed this Chiffon Margarine tag...
 possibly Monarch Margarine (Canada) had some interconnection with the (original) Texas company who marketed Chiffon.... but I'm not aware they used the same commercial. I think Chiffon (now Nabisco???) is only marketed under that name in Mexico? and a couple of other places.

Yep.... was beginning to think nobody was old enough to remember that one.... In late fifties, they had a driver's seat that pivoted to let you get in and out easier, least I think it was Desoto.. and I think pushbutton gear change... ?

I'm not *that* old!!!  My long-buried grandfather was always singing old TV/radio jingles when I was a kid, including this one from the 1930's:

Yup, the Mopar Torqueflite transmission.  My grandmother owned one in a Chrysler back in the day.  Swivel front seats were available on the last of the DeSotos, and GM also used them in the 1970's.....

My dad had a '55 Dodge D-500 with dual quad-barrel carburetors on it.
It was a gas hog, for sure, but for a 16 year-old in the 50's it was one sweet (and very fast - don't ask how I know  ) car.

The medical odds are against me ever seeing 60.

Another TV commercial song that my grandfather used to sing all the time was "Bringing home the oil" (and he wasn't Irish).  As an adult now, I just read the Wikipedia history of the song (and subsequent ship explosion that I knew nothing about) with great interest.....
