Lightning Script
« on: April 03, 2019, 01:56:08 PM »
Has the BO from lightingmaps.org has been updated?
I have try to use it in the past and works ok for the most part but with every installation it seems to quit working at some point.

Also is there something better or new out there?

Looks like you're using my BOmaps script set for https://www.txweather.org/wxbo.php -- BTW.. there's no 'Radar' involved .. the map is a static map on which the strike data from Blitzortung.org is overlaid.

I've not updated the script set since 04-Nov-2018 (BOmaps V1.05) when the format of the JSON returns changed.  I have found that there are times when blitzortung.org data becomes unavailable (either due to BO server issues, or internet connectivity issues), but recovery should be automatic with the scripts when the data becomes available again.

I already have mySystem Blue from Blitzurtung and I want to use this BOmaps. Can I use this for philippine maps?

How should I do it?

Mike, Ken's scripts are fully annotated, and this package from Saratoga Weather has a well written "Read Me', so the rest is up to you... the Map images must be created by you, using the Map generator standards from Blitzortung, the online generator is located on Blitzortung at http://en.blitzortung.org/map_generator.php

If you're referring to the LightningMaps.org script "My Blitzorting"... I would remind that, because of advanced server proceessing, etc, over the last few years, that script is no longer supported, or being developed...
...however the Ken True scripts are not affected, as he maintains them with a Hawk's Eye...
At the moment, however, last I heard, Ken is out of country ons some big ship in the Northern Latitudes', hopefully back at base around October 1st...
