The help for WXSIMATE (the program that retrieves internet and local station data) says
LOCAL STATION DATA IMPORT
WXSIMATE can import data from Davis home weather stations, such as Vantage Pro -
via the files saved by the WeatherLink software - or many other brands via
Weather Display (by Brian Hamilton) or Virtual Weather Station (by Ambient).
The WeatherLink files have names such as 2020-05.wlk and are found in the
WeatherLink directory, probably in a sub-directory with the name you gave your
station. The Weather Display (WD) files start with the month and year, followed
by 'lg.txt' or 'vantagelog.txt'. The VWS files are called 'dbase.csv' (and you
need to locate that as well). Another option is Cumulus (by Sandaysoft). The
relevant files here start with the month abbreviation, then year and 'log.txt'.
In some regional settings there may be a period ('.') after the month, so there
is an option for that. Be sure to specify the path (name of directory
and sub-directory), but not the actual file name itself, in the 'Local station
data directory' text box. This value is saved on exit (using the 'Close'
button) as the default the next time you start the program.
so it appears that WXSIMATE can use Cumulus data in the ./data/ directory.
WXSIMATE needs to run to create the files used by WXSIM, which does the forecast and creates a plaintext.txt file in the c:\wxsim directory.
You'd need to configure CumulusMX to upload c:\wxsim\plaintext.txt to plaintext.txt on your website for any of the display scripts to process it.
Also, you'd need to purchase a customization for your location from wxsim.com, otherwise, the forecast will only be for Atlanta, GA, USA
